New quilt, sunflower, & bikes

Thank you mom- it's so wonderful!
( We also enjoyed everything else in the package too)

This sunflower makes me smile. I didn't plant it, some bird must have dropped a seed or something, but it's been fun watching it grow.

For our family night activity we went and rode bikes at the church (thank you friends for the idea.) Jane loved all the practice she could get going fast, Bruce liked racing, and Kate rode in her car.
I'm sure we'll be going lots more times so let us know if you'd like to join us.

"Eye" see you

Bruce really likes to take pictures:Sweet Jane
Kate up close- really close

This is another one of an "eye." We went to the Strong Museum on Tuesday and they said, "It's from Series of Unfortunate events- take a picture."

There is this huge room of video games and Bruce liked to drive, but wasn't long enough.
Pitfall was my FAVORITE!
Yesterday we went with friends to another children's museum.
Bruce rock climbing

Bruce in South Africa.

I think this one of Cakes is cute- B makes this face.

Sleeping, Sugar, Sweetie!

Seriously, this little girl keeps us laughing all day.
Yesterday afternoon I went to check on her during her nap and found her asleep like this:
Then last night B and I found her asleep in her doorway:
At dinner she just started doing this silly "sugar" dance while enjoying her delicious ice cream sandwich that we picked up at a delicious bakery (DiCamillo's) today.

It Actually Happened, Friends, & Parade Pics

I've heard about this happening:
Kids falling asleep during lunch~
Kate did it- so silly!

We had some fabulous friends come see us on Sunday while they were up here for the weekend. Thanks so much for coming!

Last night our village had "Old Home Days" parade and Jane walked with the library group.
She's the second one in holding the banner. B is to the side and behind her with Kate on his shoulders.
Kate showing her pretzel- it's July, but she's in a coat. It's been 60's- brr. Tomorrow should be 80's again though, yeah!

Birthday Continued & Watkins Glen

*Sorry about the video not working- I fixed it and it works in the previous post now*
Back to Thursday:
We went to swimming lessons
(Kate doesn't take lessons- but sure looks cute in goggles)
We came home and got a package of presents from Grandma Miller
and then packed the car and drove to Watkins Glen.
It was beautiful!
Lots of friends went camping and we had a blast the whole time we were there.
Kate blew out her candles that night and we had cupcakes.
So happy to eat a pink cupcake!
On Friday we went on this beautiful hike in the gorge. It was about 1 1/2 miles along the water and there were lots of waterfalls and you could walk behind 2 of them:(B and Kate behind a waterfall)
So green and there were rock walls and cemented stairs along the whole trail.
Later we went swimming in the pool at the campsite and then played with friends for the rest of the day.

That night the kids were SO tired

Today we ate a delicious 4th of July breakfast, packed up, went "hiking" again, and drove home. Later we'll go watch fireworks with friends.
HAPPY 4th of JULY!!
(sorry I couldn't run the Freedom run with you this year)
*Oh, also it's funny because I was talking to my dad about Watkins Glen and he told me it was famous for the auto racing there and that NASCAR is there once a year. We heard race cars and drove by the track, but I found out NASCAR won't be there until Aug 9th so we didn't miss it, phew- :)
Dad- Here's what out tent and campsite looked like since you asked:
(The igloo is Kate's present- she just played in it)

She's TWO!!!http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

Today our sweet Kate has "a birday!"Align CenterShe is Two!She woke up very happy at 6:00 am and wanted to go downstairs to see her presents. Thank you so much Grandma and Grandpa Damstedt, Grandma and Grandpa Miller, Kim & girls, and many more who called Kate today.
We're going camping and will have "pinkalicious" cupcakes tonight :)

This is B's favorite video of Kate. We took it a couple of nights ago after we had rice and Kate made a huge mess so she had to clean it up.
