Our New Addition
Meet Lucy
The Story:Last Friday Jane came home from school begging us to get a chinchilla (someone had brought one to school.) Every second she was talking about it. I told her we'd go to the pet store to look at one and see how much they cost, etc... Turns out they are expensive and she doesn't get that much allowance- however parakeets were a lot less expensive.
On Monday she didn't have school so I looked on Craigs List for a cage- found one for $5, B took the kids to the pet store as part of Family Night and now we own a bird.

Saturday is a Special Day...
We had a great weekend!
On Saturday morning we were up at 6:30- because who needs to sleep in?
(Oh, I really would LOVE to sleep in and don't get why they wake up so early on weekends and it's had to get them up on school days. )
We cleaned all morning & went to a yummy lunch with fabulous friends.
B took Bruce on a special date to the science museum.
Jane and I canned pears :
B played Lego's with James:
Then Kate helped me make cookies:
We ate a delicious dinner:
We all played Duck Duck Bruce- a cool game Joanna sent us:
Kate got dressed to go make a snowman:
and went to bed- whew!

Happy 5th Birthday Bruce!!
This cute guy is 5!
The day started off with cheesey eggs for breakfast
then off to preschool...
then off to preschool...
He had a great day at pre-K and brought sprinkle doughnuts.We ate a birthday lunch of fries and chicken .

He LOVES the package, especially the pictures in this.Tonight it's a birthday dinner of hot dogs & cupcakes, more presents, singing, and tomorrow we all get to "bounce" around at his party.

Happy New Year!
Happy 2010 Everyone!
We had a very fun New Years eve party complete with delicious dinner and BINGO!

We have also had so much fun this week with our dad home with us.

A few days we had friends over here to play.

James, meet James
The Story:
My friend Katie has been my friend for almost 7 years now. We each have 4 kids, 2 boys 2 girls (both girl, boy, girl, boy pattern.) When I last saw her she was expecting her baby boy and they were choosing between naming him James or Ryan. I told her we liked Ryan too and we thought that would be fun to have both kids named Ryan. She actually went into labor THE next day and they named him James, 3 months later, we also were deciding between names for our little man and picked James too, but I forgot that's what Katie named theirs- crazy. So now we each have 2 fun little James's.
