"Clusters of Crocus"

A year and a half ago on Thanksgiving morning my amazing sister Tonya and I planted bulbs all around my flower beds and we put Crocus bulbs in the grass.

They are all growing so great this Spring.

They are beautiful and are all over the lawn.

Jane wanted to show you the bunny she made out of playdoh today

Kate's words

Our little cakes talks SO much!
I wrote down the words I heard her say yesterday:
Grandma, mom, dad, Jane, Bruce, Kate,
"Watch!", drink, book, duck, bird, "Look!", cow,
horse, pig, dog
elephant, show, baby, shoes, "Where's Jane?",
prayers, amen, WOW

snack, hot dog, cheese, roll, apple, mess
happy, car, go, potty, juice, "what's that?", bed, shh
nap, Oh, bus, nursery, outside,
(I love it when she falls down then says)- "I OK"
MINE... and more to come

Wearin' Green!

Last night Jane set a trap for a Leprechaun using Lucky Charms, but it was too sneaky and still turned out pancakes green.
Cute Jane wore lots of green for school today.
(In case you're wondering- that's string cheese in Kate's hand and mouth- she's saying "cheese.")
Kate loves her green dress too.

Bruce had a party yesterday at preschool so he was all greened-out.

B took this picture yesterday of Jane and her new bike, holding all her Webkinz.

She's Six!

Yesterday our beautiful Jane turned 6 years old!

We started the day with taking her and her birthday treats to school:
(I dipped the top of the cone in white chocolate, added sprinkles, and filled with Jane's favorite fruit salad.)
I then spent a lot of the day setting up for her party...
(Thanks Grandma Damstedt for the dress, tights, and WEBKINZ!)
We had her party after school and I thought that not many kids would be able to come, but nope- all but 2 of the kids in her kindergarten class and primary class came (20+ kids)
It was CRAZY FUN!
We did a Science Birthday party where we divided the kids up into 3 "lab-teams." The first station was Reactions with B in the garage (fire, alka seltzer, mentos outside, etc...)
Then the 2nd station was BUGS with our very very kind friend Matt (we owe you big) who is an entomologist and he brought some collections and told about bugs.
The third station was dinosaurs with me and we had a big sand pit in the basement and brushes to find the dinosaurs. They each got a little thing for their treat bags at each station:

We had "worms and dirt" for dessert
and then we opened presents (CRAZY and WAY too much)
B thinks if we ever do this again we should have a canned food drive. These were such wonderful and thoughtful friends who came and Jane is set for years to come!
THANK YOU!

* Thank you Grandma Miller for the awesome package- 3 bags, treats, books, etc...
Thanks Jo again for the bows!
Thank you Heather for taking time and coming all the way over here and bringing the cutest birthday bucket of fun "6 year old" things!
Thank you to all who called, send cards, and emailed!
