Tiger Cub's Pine Wood Derby

Last Saturday Bruce participated in his first Pinewood Derby.

He had a great time making his car with B and it was even more fun when he watched it race.

The best part of all, for him, was winning a trophy!

His car got best design out of all the cars there.
Great work Bruce!

Spots, Mario, Australia, and beanbags..

This week James has been covered in spots.

He was taking amoxicillin for an ear infection and the day after he was done he broke out into this rash, it's fading now- but I was pretty nervous.

Bruce got to play with a friend on Monday and they threw his a mini birthday party.

He got Mario PJ's and an awesome Mario K'Nex car. Thanks Amy and Brennan!

Jane had Australia day yesterday at school.

She got to try Vegemite.

Our nursery at church has been asking for some new toys. Jane wanted to make them bean bags.

Here she is sewing!

Kate has had this whole week off of school due to parent teacher conferences. She has had playdates everyday and it's been nice to not rush out the door ever morning this week.

Yesterday we were SO lucky to have my brother Derik come play with us!

We showed him lots of games, Wii, dolls, and Tim Bits.

He also took us to dinner.

The night before he came we got a little snow & played & played!

and ate snow too! * Bonus: I made these cute snowman faces for Kate's PreK snack:(and a veggie tray too :)

Buckets...

Buckets are good for wearing on your head

or for standing on.

You should try carrying one around all day :)

I'm glad the other kids are all healthy and back in school so this little man and I can have some fun!

He's 7!

Our Bruce turned 7 today

(Nice picture huh? This was the best I could get)

and was SOOO happy that is was his birthday. He kept going around all day telling us the things he could do "because it was his birthday."
He woke up early and opened presents!Thanks Grandma& Grandpa Miller!

Then we went to church and they sang to him in primary.

After church we decorated his big "cupcake" birthday cake.

We had hamburgers for dinner.

Warm Weather Day..

This is the first time that we have lived here that there has been NO snow on January 7th.

James had a great time playing outside. We played with lots of balls, went on the swings, and down the slide lots of times.

Kate liked riding her bike.(note: no coat needed)
We all loved "Soccer" (except Jane who is sick inside)Thank you sunshine :)

*Also Bruce has really been enjoying the Soda Pop Bottle Science
