Christmas Eve Hike to Eternal Flame...

Today was warm :)  We picked up Uncle Andy from the airport this morning and then this afternoon we all went hiking to the "Eternal Flame!"

Our feet all got really wet and it was pretty fun to slide in the snow that was still there.  I think Andy and Kate were the only two that didn't fall in the water at some point.  It was such a beautiful hike!

"Is it REALLY Christmas next week?"

.. that's what Kate asked me this morning.  Yes it is next week- whew we have been doing lots of fun things this month.

2 Snow Days In A Row!!!!

Yesterday we were expected to get a big storm, but luckily for us it turned South and we didn't get anything.   They still canceled school and made it a Snow Day.  I took the kids and some friends to see Big Hero 6 and we had a fun day. 


This morning they had another Snow Day.  This time it was snowing and we got maybe 3 inches.  The kids went outside in the morning and played for a long time.

Halloween 2014

This year we had a dalmation, a witch, James Bond (with a horse head,) and Princess Bubblegum.  There was also the occasional Cruela DeVil and Finn from Adventure Time. 
 

 



On Halloween night we went to my friend Karen's house and she invited us in for cider, doughnuts, and gave the kids a big treat! 

On the Tuesday before Halloween we went to "The Great Pumpkin Farm" 

The week before that Grandma Damstedt came to visit us!!!  We loved having her here AND she got to celebrate James' birthday with us.

Praxair Family Fest 2014 & More..

Yesterday afternoon we went to our dad's Family Fest.  We got to see a cryogenic demonstration, eat lunch (including liquid nitrogen ice cream,) watch a welding robot demo, high speed camera demo, gas visualization demo, make giant soap bubbles, sit in the truck, participate in a separation principle demo, make slime, participate in fire department activities, and we each got a pumpkin.

 On Friday Kate got to go on a Fall Walk with her class:

 Jane and I got to go to the "Women's Conference" last Saturday:

 For General Conference B's mom sent us a puzzle to work on and things to make a cake:






Bruce got his Bear in scouts:

 Kate went to "Build A Bear" with a friend and got this to go with her Halloween Costume.

 Jane spent an afternoon helping with her favorite nursing home buddies:

 James got to be "Star of the Week"

 and bring home "Ziggy" pig for the weekend.
