Cheetos, Swedish Fish, and Lights

Now this isn't what were having for Thanksgiving, but Cakes wishes..
Do you want one?
She looks pretty crazy with only one pony tail and orange fingers, but we still love her.
She LOVES Swedish Fish-like her daddy.

On Saturday B did something that has not been done to our home in 30 years...
Lights!
He installed lights in the girls room and guest room. Now just Bruce's, ours, and the living room left.

* Can't wait to go to the airport tomorrow!!!

Jane Brag Blog...

Forgive me, but I just have to tell you all once again how much we love our Jane and are so proud of her.
Jane is a very smart, fun, and kind little girl. She came that way and we are so blessed to have her in our family.
Last night B and I went to our first Parent Teacher Conference. (It was especially fun for me having been on the teacher side so many times to be on the Parent side now.)
Her teacher is a wonderful woman who told us that Jane is at the top of her class. She wrote: "Jane is a friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic Kindergarten student. She has adjusted nicely to all of our classroom routines and activities. Jane has great work habits and is always willing to help. Jane enjoys our reading activities and we ill continue to encourage and develop her reading and writing skills. She has made new friends and gets along well with all her classmates. I look forward to watching Jane grow and learn throughout the year.

(Sorry more bragging) She told us that she tested Jane on reading last week and Jane passed level 6, Kindergartners are expected to be on level 3 by the end of the year. She also mentioned that when she's explaining something and when Jane doesn't get it she stops and is like "really?" and she knows then that no one is getting it so she explains it another way.
Jane writes full sentence stories and spells words correctly- wow!
She was also amazed at Jane's background knowledge of things in Math and Science. (dad)
We are proud of you Jane- keep up the great things you do!

**B and I are going on a date tonight to the newest art museum in Buffalo. It's the first one built here in the last century and we're excited! Tomorrow night is Twilight**

Blue eyed girl...

Today is a beautiful day. It's sunny and in the 60's so we decided to spend lots of time outside. Kate loves leaves!

This morning this is what she looked like:We've been getting up at 5:30/6:00 still working on adjusting to the time change. But at least everyone is happy when they wake up.

* * My friend sent me this email about an awesome service project for all of you who have t-shirts and sewing machines. Here's the web site: http://www.soulemama.com/mama_to_mama/2008/11/the-caps-to-cap.html

Bruce also wanted in on the leaf action:
Tonight I'm teaching glass etching at our craft night, you're all welcome to attend!

I LOVE THIS CLOCK!!

B has done it again. He designed and built our family a beautiful, HUGE wall clock. It's 3 feet in diameter and the arms are 1 foot. The wood is beautiful, the milk paint turned out so good, and we love it!
Thanks-you handsome handy husband!
(Another cool thing about it is that there aren't any numbers, but the lines on the wood match up where the 12,1,2,3... would be)

It's Autumn Time and Pancakes!

Cute Cakes!
We have been having a beautiful week of 70 degree weather and Kate LOVES to be outside.

Tonight we had pancakes for dinner. B makes them really big. Kate thought it would be more fun to wear her pancake on her head- so silly.
