Tuesday: Triathlon..

I saw a lot of cute blogs where they posted what they did each day the last week before school and thought I'd try it. . .

Tuesday- we Tackled dragons
& did a Triathlon - kind of- we swam, biked, and ran... with fun friends!Thanks for the great FUN day Rachel and crew!

Just Keep Swimming...

It was warm again today which means we were outside in water for most of it...

James didn't even bother putting on his swim suit.

Kate loved jumping in (she got her first bee sting today- it was very sad.)

Arts Festival 2010

This afternoon we went down to the Arts Festival.
We had a really great time:

We saw this guy.. One of the main reasons we went was because there was going to be a children's strings orchestra performing. At 2:00 I got Jane and Bruce seated and took James and Kate with me to get water from our stroller. I got the water turned around and no Kate. I was so scared. I instantly saw our friends Justin and Carly (miracle!!) and told them I couldn't find Kate. I told the police man at the desk and the volunteers. We were looking everywhere. Jane was crying and said a prayer. Carly went one way down the sidewalk and I went the other. She found her next to a security guard. THANK YOU CARLY!!! Kate was silent- I gave her a HUGE hug and told her I love her so much and I'm glad we found her. We LOVE our Kate! It was the scariest longest minutes of my life. Then we watched the violins for a little while and went home.(While walking back to the car we walked by a Penzeys- love this store and didn't know we had one )

Funny Rhyme Jane

Sometimes we'll be driving and Bruce will say something like
"I don't want to go there."Then I'll say "You want to wash your hair" "You'll play Truth or Dare" "You just saw a bear!"and we'll have a rhyming game.
Today Jane caught on and said "Mom- do you see the hippopotamus ?" Sorry Jane can't think of anything that rhymes with hippopotamus.. "Mom- Let's get medicine" again- what rhymes with medicine? We'll keep working on it. It made me laugh a lot.

Fair 2010 & more

Last Saturday we went to the Fair!

On Tuesday we went to the library to meet "Danny the Dinosaur"

Why I LOVE Thursdays...

I LOVE Thursdays, do you want to know why?Every Thursday I get to see these 2 beautiful womenand pick up my fresh local fruit.

Today was white peaches, yellow peaches, pears (I'm so special), and prunes. We've also had strawberries, cherries, blueberries, nectarines, black raspberries, yellow plums, apricots, plums, and I'm looking forward to the variety of apples & pears still to come..

Today we met some great friends at the Strong Museum of Play for a fun time.

2 beautiful moms and 8 kids! (-1 who was playing)(thanks again for the playing, movie, sand, and DELICIOUS dinner)

We had a great day today at the zoo!Ready to have some fun!

The reason we went today was because there was supposed to be this big monkey party, but we got there and Bruce didn't want to go see the monkey's because they are "sooo stinky!"

So instead we saw:
