Rusted Root

On Friday night we went with some great friends to a Rusted Root concert.

We were standing at just the right place when the car pulled up with the band inside.
Here is our friend's cute baby so close to Michael Glabicki- the lead singer.
It was an outdoor concert in a nearby town, but probably not the most family friendly- oops.
We went just outside the gates, next to the ice cream stand, sat in our chairs, and had a great time!

The Days Are Just Packed

Yesterday after school Jane and I were playing with Play Doh and she made an ocean with sharks and leaches and then we made a guy on an island fishing. I got up to do something and when I came back the guy was not on the island, but was half way in the water, Jane told me "he fell in," and I started laughing so then we had to make his wife on the island yelling for help- oh it was pretty silly.

My home is full of beautiful flowers right now. My yellow rose bush is going crazy and my friend Gantrie brought me these when we finished preschool on Tuesday:

B's mom mailed the girls these cute flamingo shirts so we did a little photo shoot,

" Where's your flamingo?"

Bruce also wanted to be in the picture (he's still in his PJ's)

Jane's Big Night & Bug Museum

The story begins a few months ago while we were driving near a Youth and Family center. Jane noticed that their flag outside was really shredded and in bad shape, so we went to Target and bought a new flag and then took it to the center and gave it to them. The women there were so touched and Jane received several cards from board members thanking her for her kind act.

Saturday night there was a Youth Foundations' Partners for Children Donor Reception. Jane was invited as a guest of honor. Brad took her and said that she was the only kid there. There were lots of important political people and board members present. Jane said "I shook a lot of hands and had to say 'you're welcome' over and over again." Jane was the first one to shoot a basketball in the newly renovated gym- in front of everyone! She was glad they had a big fruit and cheese table to eat from.
As she was going to bed she prayed that she'd "never forget this night."

On Friday we went to the Science Museum for their BUG exhibit:

Beautiful bees putting "pollen" velcro things in the flowers.

They had lots of fun interactive things and great displays all over the ways.

Bruce liked the computers.

Jane's Race, ballet, and school program

Last Saturday while the boys were camping, the girls and I ran a kids race with some friends. It was really fun.After we finished we spent a few hours at the zoo!

On Monday her ballet class did a little performance of "Angelina Ballerina" too cute!

Yesterday they had their program. Jane sang great and did such a wonderful job on her part.
Afterward we all went back to the classroom and looked at all
the writing she had done throughout the year- amazing!

We figured it was about time for her to sleep in a bed rather than her pillow:on the floor like she has been-(totally kidding, she was in the crib, this is just how we found her one night- silly.)

Her new toddler bed is VERY plastic and pink, but is was way cheap. It will work just fine until B makes the bunk beds.

Bruce had his last day of M/W preschool this week. There were 14 kids in his class and 6 teachers (the 1 guy was not there that day.)

What I have growing now- Big pink and white ones that smell SO GOOD!

We have 2 new pets: This bunny likes our yard a lot

Birthday and Baby...

I REALLY love my birthdays. Always have.

Today was fabulous, and it's not even over!

Here's how the day went:
6:00- Pilate's (great workout, thanks Alexis)
7:00- Wake up kids, scriptures, breakfast, B to work.
9:30 - (Jane went to school) Hang out with my 5 favorite boys teaching preschool.
11:15- Party with cupcakes and ice cream

12:15- B came home and we went to lunch at a delicious Thai place.
2:00- Picked Jane up from school and went to a ultrasound appointment.

* * O.K. so sorry this is a first for many of you, but we are expecting, I'm 20 weeks, and due in October with a ....

BOY!
Jane, Bruce, and Kate and all VERY excited. My doctor was so cute and said "you're the first I've met with the pattern girl-boy-girl-boy." My brother congratulated us on our "2 of a kind" pair.
Sorry we kind of kept it a secret until we found out the gender. He looks healthy and I'm feeling great and very happy :)

3:00- went on a long walk with our family
4:30- opened presents, MANY Thanks to:

6:00- Delicious dinner (made by my amazing husband)- grilled vegetable burritos.
followed by a Jane frosted German Chocolate cake.
* My friend Amy sent me birthday wishes that my dishes would magically be done and I told that to my sweet husband and I haven't done 1 dish today :)
7:00- Now, we'll put kids to bed and I'll just smile thinking about my wonderful day (and our little man.)
