It was a complete surprise for the kids. I told them we were going to buy James more diapers and to come in the car- we drove to the airport and there was grandma! We came home and played outside. We ate corn on the cob and BBQ Beef sandwiches for dinner. On Friday she got to go with Kate and help out at Preschool.
They had a really fun time together. When James and I picked them up we got Panera and had a picnic at our waterfall park. The rest of the afternoon was spent outside swimming and riding bikes. That night we grilled pizza and watched a movie.On Saturday B and I went to the temple in Palmyra and the kids ate waffles with Grandma. She took them to Bruce's baseball game where we met them.
Bruce had a great game and we celebrated with hot dogs at Ted's. We came home and put James down for a nap. Jane, Grandma, and I went shopping at the mall and brought lots of really cute clothes- thanks again for the trip! That night B and I took her out to dinner to Thai Orchid for an early birthday. On Sunday we all went to church, rested all afternoon, and played games. B made homemade Gnocchi for all of us- delicious! Monday morning Grandma went with Bruce and his school class to the play "Nate the Great." After that was over we drove to Penzey's and stocked up on spices and things. We ate lunch at the Globe and then drove to Brad's work to show his mom his office. James took a long nap while we played some more outside. When the kids came home we played some more, ate tacos for dinner, and then B, Grandma, Jane, and Bruce went rock climbing with the Tiger Cubs.
* Everyday when Grandma was here, she and Bruce practiced piano. Bruce really enjoys playing and it was fun to hear the two of them together.
