Scissors

Scissors

~ such a small and simple thing, right?

Story: yesterday afternoon I was on the phone with Brad's mom and Jane came down with scissors and a bunch of hair missing (yes she did is again.)

I thought "Where are Katie, Sarah, and Naoma- oh not here." Luckily a friend had told me about a really cute kid's haircut place here. I called them and they said they were full for the day and then I asked her, "Do you know of any other place like you, my daughter just took scissors to her hair?" She said, "Come in right now."

So we drove there, fixed what we could, and she suggested I go buy some thick headbands and just try to hide her non-existent bangs so she could avoid any questions and embarrassment that may come. So we drove to the mall, got a bunch of headbands, and she's super cute again.

Luckily, the huge chunks of hair she cut off and all underneath her top layer of hair so you can't tell on those ones. We had (another) big talk about why we don't use scissors and cut our own hair, we'll keep you posted.

Oh no... I am glad that they fit you in and it wasn't worse, The headbands were a great idea! She is adorable as always.

Cool. Jane looks like a dude! I can't wait for Sophia to give herself her first haircut. We'll see how that goes.

Oh goodness gracious! That is NOT funny *hee hee*! She doesn't look unhappy in those pictures, though. The headband looks great! I am not looking forward to that day. I honestly don't know if it would be worse for your child to cut their own hair or to cut their friends hair. Now that I type it... I think friends hair. That would be awful!

Well at least Jane didn't cut her little sisters hair like I did. Sorry Jo, and no you aren't a boy :) But that is a cute story. I'm glad it all turned out in the end. Maybe you should just go to beauty school. Then you can cut my hair too! Oh, and Jo can't come with us to Cafe at Christmas. She lives TOO far away! Just kidding!

Trina used to do that often, she had such short hair for a while because I had to fix it. We have had the talk about scissors many times. So I totally understand.
