Happy Groundhog Day!

Happy Groundhog Day!
We were there! (here's lots of pictures to prove it)
Bruce got to go really close to Punxsy Phil
Here we are at Gobbler's Knob
We're not sure how the groundhog saw it's shadow because it was really cloudy and cold

Kate and her cute groundhog paw print

We went with my friend Amy and her4 adorable, so well behaved children. It was so fun!!! Thanks Amy! We had a great time visiting all the fun Groundhog day sites. We were also a site to be seen, 2 moms & 7 kids.
"The Inner Circle" with a Statue of Liberty groundhog in the background. They had lots of these painted groundhogs all over the city that were really cool.
This was a fun groundhog to go have a photo-op with. I was so glad that my niece Sophie wasn't there because these kind of things freak her out.
Phil lives at the library, here is his home.
Here's the awesome guy and Phil
Our friend G and an really "cool" ice sculpture
Jane and Bruce with 2 of our friends
Even though it took us a little over 4 hours to get there (with bathroom and nursing stops) the kids did very well! We definitely think everyone needs to go to Punxsutawney, PA.

How fun. I especially like Kate's paw print.

"Strike up the music the band has begun. The Pennsylvania Polka..."

Hope I got that song in your head.

Happy Groundhog Day!

I am so jealous. I actually told my students that his name was "Philibuster Phil" the entire morning of Groundhog day my first year teaching. Thank goodness I was corrected before the day ended. Thanks to this blog entry- I will never forget Punxsatony (sp?).

So fun! Thanks for going with us. Groundhog Day is now my kids' third-favorite holiday! (Behind Christmas and Halloween, of course...) We had a fantastic time with you guys!

It's Me- I just changed my background. Is it too hard to read? It was super easy to do. I just went to a site called cutestblogontheblock and followed the instructions. Thanks Lissa!

What a fun day! Glad to hear you like Janie and Jack too. I keep checking for stuff to go on sale so I can get Emily a new outfit. I'm a sale shopper so it might take a while...

Very Cute! We watched the news feed on the internet after Pres. Hinckley's funeral. Trina needed to know for school whether or not he saw his shadow. So much fun!

Oh so fun! And I just can't get enough of your cute little baby Kate! She's always smiling! Doesn't it just want you to have 3 more right away?! *hee hee*

By the way... I'm so cold after looking at all of those pictures!
