Japanese Jane

This week is "Diversity Week" at Jane's preschool. Since our family is not really all that diverse Jane thought she could talk to her class about her Aunt Hiromi who is from Japan. Jane told the class how to say "Hello" in Japanese and also taught them how to count to five. She took this Hello Kitty with her and also a beautiful picture of a woman in a kimono that my dad had brought back for her when he was in Japan. She also took some boxes of "Pocky's" to share for snack time. Two of the interns in Jane's class are also from Japan and they were all over it! They thought Jane was so smart and cute. We think so too!

* In the bowl by Jane is a "hatching dinosaur." B brought it back for her from his last trip and we've been watching this egg crack all morning

Doug thinks if Jane would squint her eyes a little bit more she would even look Japanese! He also thinks Brad needs to be careful about bringing more babies home. I hope he doesn't bring one home after each trip! Yikes!
